Abstract

This one-day hands-on programme is designed for general dental practitioners seeking to refine their approach to contemporary adhesive dentistry. The workshop integrates advanced direct anterior composite techniques — including both conventional layering and injection moulding approaches — with modern adhesive ceramic posterior restorations.

The focus will be on predictable preparation design, material selection and cementation protocols that can be implemented immediately in general practice. Although grounded in contemporary material science and evidence-based principles, the emphasis remains practical, structured and clinically reproducible.

Learning objectives

At the end of this hands-on course, participants will be able to:

• Apply structured layering techniques for anterior composite restorations
• Utilise injection moulding techniques for predictable anterior aesthetic outcomes
• Predictably close diastemas and restore peg laterals using direct composite
• Select appropriate preparation designs for adhesive posterior ceramic restorations
• Differentiate between onlays, overlays, occlusal veneers (“table-tops”) and endocrowns
• Execute a clear, step-by-step adhesive cementation protocol
• Improve marginal integrity and long-term restorative predictability
