Abstract

The correction of Class II and Class III malocclusions remains one of the most challenging areas in aligner orthodontics. While clear aligner systems have significantly expanded their capabilities, predictable outcomes in complex sagittal discrepancies still depend on proper case selection, strategic planning, and the effective use of auxiliaries.

This webinar will provide a structured, clinically oriented approach to managing Class II and III cases with aligners. Key topics include treatment planning principles, staging strategies, biomechanical considerations, and decision-making algorithms for selecting optimal protocols. Special attention will be given to the integration of auxiliaries such as elastics, attachments, and TADs to enhance treatment efficiency and predictability.

Through clinical cases and practical insights, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to optimize aligner therapy in moderate to complex malocclusions and avoid common pitfalls.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the key differences in treating Class II and Class III malocclusions with aligners
  • Develop effective treatment strategies based on diagnosis and case complexity
  • Apply biomechanical principles to improve predictability of tooth movement
  • Select and implement appropriate auxiliaries (elastics, attachments, TADs.)
  • Identify limitations of aligner therapy and recognize when hybrid approaches are indicated
  • Avoid common mistakes in planning and execution of aligner treatment for sagittal discrepancies
