Abstract
Adhesive cementation is a critical phase that involves the application of an adhesive system and a cementation agent. Consequently, this technique-sensitive and complex procedure requires comprehensive knowledge of the material composition and properties. Universal adhesives and universal cements are currently the most popular dental products in the market. Wide variations exist between the available materials; accordingly, the clinical indications and mode of application are essential factors in successfully using these novel materials. The selection of the proper restorative materials for each clinical situation will be discussed in this presentation, along with a wide variety of topics that will cover successful bonding and cementation techniques.
Learning Objectives

- Explain the different types of adhesive cementation systems.
- Discuss the characteristics of the universal adhesives and cements.
- Describe the proper use of adhesive-cement combinations.
- Discuss the limitations of universal adhesives and cements.
