Abstract
“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”—Charles Darwin As Charles Darwin said, you have to be open to change. The digital revolution is underway in our industry. It is not easy for everyone to adapt to this new digital workflow. This lecture will explain the advantages and disadvantages of transforming all your diagnostic steps from analog to digital. The use of digital smile design determines a concrete benefit in patient communication and laboratory workflows. The implications of this evolution fall favorably on the patient: reduction in treatment time, reduction in costs linked to increased productivity, and reduction in the invasiveness of prosthetic procedures. The advent of digital technology has positively changed the way of examining, diagnosing, prognosticating, and treating patients in different specialties and facilitating laboratory work.
