After graduating he joined the department of Oral Function and worked in de section of special dental care and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. He received his PhD in 1996 on the subject of overdentures on dental implants; ‚ÄúThe Breda Implant Overdenture Study‚ÄĚ. In that year he left Academia. From 1985 till 2006 he worked at the Amphia teaching Hospital in Breda in the department of Oral Surgery and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics.
In 1985 he started a general dental practice which since 1990 is a referral practice for Oral Implantology. Has been president of the Dutch Prosthodontic Association and the Dutch Association for Gnathology. He is an ITI fellow since 1993. In the ITI he has served as a member of the ITI education Core Group for 8 years. Since 2012 he is a member of the ITI research committee and in 2013 has been elected as an ITI board member at large..
In 2006 he accepted the position of Professor of Oral Implantology and Prosthetic Dentistry at ACTA Amsterdam which he combines with his referral practice. He is the head of the section of Oral Implantology and Prosthetic Dentistry . The research areas in his section are focused on ‚ÄúCAD/CAM treatment optimization‚ÄĚ, ‚ÄúDigital Dentistry, treatment evaluation and workflow‚ÄĚ ,‚ÄĚ implant surface and bone substitute optimization‚ÄĚ ‚Äúperi-implantitis‚ÄĚ as well as ‚Äú the evaluation of different implant based treatment modalities‚ÄĚ.

He gained his Master‚Äôs Degree in 1989 from the Eastman Dental Hospital and London University and started teaching on the University of Manchester‚Äôs MSc in Restorative Dentistry. He is now Professor of Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry at the City of London Dental School.
His private dental training academy, Tipton Training, was founded in 1991 and to date over 3000 dentists have completed a one year course at the Academy.
In 1992, Prof. Tipton was awarded an honorary Diploma in General Dental Practice from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was appointed a member of the British Dental Association‚Äôs Independent Practice Committee. In 1999, he was certified as a Specialist in Prosthodontics by the General Dental Council.
Prof Tipton is on the editorial board of Private Dentistry Magazine, The Journal of Indian Prosthodontics Society and Implant Dentistry and is a medical writer and part of the advisory board at Expert Beauty Magazine and ‚ÄėWoman‚Äôs‚Äô magazine. He was a founding member and on the Board of Directors of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is the past president of the British Academy of Implant Dentistry and is currently the President of the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He was recently elected Fellow of the International Academy of dental Facial Esthetics (IADFE) and Associate Fellow of the University of Warwick.

As far is his academic career, he is currently an adjunct faculty at the Department of Restorative Science and Biomaterial Division of Prosthodontics at Boston University, USA. He used to be the program director of the advanced specialty education program in Prosthodontics at Boston University Institute of Dental Research and Education (BUIDRE) in Dubai and also used to be a Clinical Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry in Kuwait University.
Dr. Al-Dousari achieved a Doctor of Science in Dentistry (DScD) in Prosthodontics from Boston University (USA) in 2011. He was the first prosthodontist in Kuwait to achieve this prestigious certificate. His Doctorate research was heavily involved in dental biomaterials on CAD/CAM technology and ceramic restorations. He also holds a Master of Science (MSD) degree is Prosthodontics from the same university.
His Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree was archived from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry (USA) in 2001 and completed his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Prosthodontics in 2006 from Boston University (USA) which he was awarded the David J. Baraban Award for Outstanding Resident in Prosthodontics.
Dr. Al-Dousari is a national and international speaker. He has presented numerously in the field of implant dentistry, CAD/CAM dental technology, cosmetic dentistry, and enjoys lecturing on Perio-Prosth / Endo-Prosth intimate relations. Dr. Safa Tahmasebi Completed his Bachelors degree in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry at Saint John‚Äôs University Queens New York in 2004 with a full scholarship based on academic performance. In 2005 he joined State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where he attained his Doctor of Dental Surgery and qualified as a Dentist in 2009. He Joined the Albert Einstein Medical hospital of Montefiore in Bronx New York where he completed one-year hospital dentistry fellowship. In 2013 he completed three and half year full time training in prosthodontics and surgical training with a masters degree in prosthodontics at the West Virginia University School of dentistry. He qualified from Dundee University in 1993 and his practice, Lubiju in Edinburgh, was Highly Commended as best Specialist Practice in Scotland and voted Best Private Practice in East Scotland. Dr Krishnan has also been recognised as one of Scotland's outstanding dentists.
Dr Krishnan lectures extensively nationally and internationally primarily on cosmetically focused orthodontics, in which he has pioneered revolutionary new concepts using the C-FAST Adult Cosmetic Orthodontic System which he personally developed. He has published in many journals internationally and recently authored the first book on cosmetic orthodontics.
