POST SHOW REPORT FROM 3^rd DFCIC 2011

Dubai gathered for the third time the world experts of Dental - Facial Cosmetic on 28th - 29th October 2011, an international conference, open to all aspects and specialists working in the field of aesthetic dentistry. With the excellent ambiance and cozy atmosphere the conference again makes exceptional networking and connecting the leaders in the field of Aesthetic Dentistry – practitioners, researchers and industry players.

The organizers, CAPP and Emirates Dental Society achieve for the 3rd time great record of attendance and established a reputation as the industry’s leading international conference. CAD/CAM Digital Dentistry Is Here! 25,26,27th October 2011, Tutor: Joerg Vogt,Germany Dr. Munir Silwadi, UAE CAD/CAM from the beginning what is CAD/CAM? The History, types and the differences between chair side and laboratory CAD/CAM. Full presentation of Hardware and software. This course combines lectures and Hands-on sessions featuring guide for acquisition of the best image how participants design their cases using different designs and types of restoration. Afternoon Session - Advanced Users CAD/CAM where it is today? New hardware and software features changes and advancements. The course combining lecture with and each participant will be guided into the latest hardware for Acquisition of the best images. Bone Augmentation with Simultaneous Implant Placement CME 8 Hours HAAD, 5 Hours SCFHS 27th October 2011, Tutor: Dr. Rabih Abi Nader, UAE. This course combines lectures and Hands-on sessions featuring implant placement with bone augmentation procedures utilizing animal jaws that simulates the daily clinical situation. During the hands-on sessions, participants will perform procedures demonstrated in the lectures. "Always, happy how well organized the courses."

Advance Anterior Composite (Direct Veneers) CME 5.5 Hours HAAD, 4 Hours SCFHS 27th October 2011, Tutor: Dr. Eduardo Mahn, Chile The course will cover the necessary knowledge to master anterior aesthetic direct veneers. After the lecture and clinical cases discussion the participants will make a Direct Veneer in a highly esthetic model, using a silicone guide, prepared by themselves and will layer the dentin, enamel and effects shades step by step.

The Pursuit of Perfection in Aesthetic Implant Dentistry 28th October 2011, Tutor: Dr Hassan Maghaireh To recreate a long term life-like restorations in implant dentistry is by no means an easy challenge. This course will look at the evidence for maximizing the longevity and aesthetics of implants through appropriate case selection, pre-implant preparation, pre-implant surgery and implant placement. It will also look at the impact of abutment connection and maintenance on long-term aesthetics.

THE FIRST ARAB DENTAL LABORATORY UNION MEETING Conference welcomed the first Arab Dental Laboratory Union Meeting. CDT Rodny Abdallah, Lebanese Dental Laboratories Association is very enthusiastic and targets 22 countries to join the organization.
